Langton Way
This project presented an interesting Planning problem. Consent had been granted many years ago for two single storey houses on the overall site at No 17. Initially only one of these was built, leaving a vacant site next to it.
However the rules are that you have to start building within a certain time of gaining consent, but not that you have to finish. Building the first house meant that the building had started, and even though many years had passed it meant that consent still existed for the second house. The principle of development was therefore already established.
