Foxes Dale

A rather nondescript and very cramped 1950’s house was demolished to make way for this more substantial 5 bedroom house in Blackheath’s Cater Estate. Planning is always difficult in this situation, and although this scheme was supported by the Planners, it was refused at committee, but won on appeal.

Traditional materials and detailing are generally used to respect the neighbouring properties, but to add a bit of drama there is a large glazed entrance screen to the central entrance hall, with the staircase rising behind it.
